Programming Olympiad: Instructions to participants:

  1. All answers must be typed or pasted in online in the space provided.
  2. You may do the questions in any order, but you have to make sure the answers are placed correctly.
  3. You need to write your programs on your own computer/network and save them there.
  4. The contest must be completed under “examination conditions”. No communication (oral, electronic or any other form) with other contestants is permitted.
  5. You may use the computer language of your choice from those allowed by the rules.
  6. For all tasks you will have the option to erase your answer, and enter a new answer.  This option appears as the last option with all tasks.
  7. You must save your answer before going on to the next task.
  8. Click on next (in the top left corner) or select from the list on the left.
  9. A tick (√ ) appears next to each task you have completed.  This does not mean your answer is correct, only that you have answered the question.
  10. You have one hour (60 min.) to complete the 3 questions (12 Answers)
  11. Each correct answer for questions 1 and 2 earns 8 marks. Each correct answer for question 3 earns 9 marks.  The total is out of 100.
  12. Ready to start?  Click on Challenge in the top menu and enjoy.
  13. If you want to finish before time is up, click on end on the left and select “Yes ”.
  14. When you have finished, you need to store your files where your teacher can access them in case the judges want to see how you obtained the answer. Do not delete any of the files. Do not attempt to modify any files after the end of the contest.
